Cut your cloud bill.

Upload a cost file, or connect Azure or AWS read-only. We review the draft and reply within 2 business days. No passwords. No access keys.

  1. 1Upload a cost file, or use Connect Azure / Connect AWS. The file steps are below if you would rather not connect.
  2. 2Drop it here with your email. We can tell Azure from AWS.
  3. 3The report is written immediately. Scott checks it, then writes to you. Nothing is emailed on its own.

Three ways to start

Email is enough. Upload a file, or connect Azure or AWS read-only. No passwords and no access keys.

A. Upload a file

Connect asks an admin to approve read-only access. You can revoke it later. Scott still reviews the draft, and this page does not email you by itself.

Get the file in about 5 clicks

You do not connect Azure or AWS. Download a cost file, then drop it in the form. The pictures below are placeholders for the portal screens.

Azure

Azure in about 5 clicks

Download a daily cost CSV from Cost analysis. You do not create an app registration or share a password.

  1. 1In the Azure portal, open Cost Management.
  2. 2Open Cost analysis.
  3. 3Set the date range to the last 2 months.
  4. 4Set granularity to Daily.
  5. 5Download the view as CSV.

If the CSV has no resource names, set Group by to Resource and download once more. A full Cost Management export (actual or amortized) works too. Amortized is the better file when you already use reservations.

AWS

AWS in about 5 clicks

Cost Explorer is the short path. A Cost and Usage Report is sharper when you want resource names.

  1. 1Open Billing and Cost Management.
  2. 2Open Cost Explorer.
  3. 3Set the date range to the last 2 months.
  4. 4Set granularity to Daily.
  5. 5Download CSV.

Cost Explorer often has no resource ids and no tags. For a sharper review: open Data exports, create a CUR 2.0 export, include resource IDs, choose CSV or Parquet, then download the file from the S3 bucket it names.
